A Literary Plan of Attack

Date October 13, 2008

For the last four years I’ve been talking regularly with a few close friends about my desire to write a book. They’ve been supportive. I’ve been procrastinating. “How’s that book of yours coming along?” they ask. “Oh, just fine! Just great! Really swell!” I answer, while avoiding all direct eye contact. That was until recently when I had a writer’s epiphany. A voice came to me in the middle of the night saying: “For a book to ever have a chance of being published, the book must first be written.”

.Knock me over with a feather. Who would have thought?

With this newly gained wisdom granted me I’ve come to realize I need to develop a disciplined schedule for writing; both for the book and for this blog so my initial plan is to write a blog entry every Tuesday and Thursday to be published no later than by the end of the day, PST, and then on the weekends I’ll include one of my regular features such as Weekend Links, Sunday Prayers, or the recent Mystery Photo Contest that seemed to have unanimously been made the recipient of the Reader’s Top Choice Award. That will leave me Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays for working on my book. I also hope to gather original content from guest bloggers in the coming months in addition to any other personal stories that are contributed from among you. Yes, you. Sharing your faith and story as a GLBTQ Christian or as a Christian friend to GLBTQ people would be greatly appreciated and add much to the impact of this blog on the lives of others who are searching or struggling in their own faith.

That’s the plan.

Blog you tomorrow!

I know you will write a great book. You are a talented writer and I’ll be first in line for my copy, but ya have to sign it first ;) So go write, Anita, write.

Write, Anita, write…all I can think about is run, Forest, run. ;) Sorry but in all seriousness, you are gifted and I would love the chance to read a book written by you. I can only guess at the topic. Any hints? :)

You have a very creative soul, that is obvious in your writing and your photography. Gifts such as these are too precious to keep to yourself. Don’t bury your talent girl, go out and multiply it for your master, the heavenly father and much will be given to you. I can say that knowing full well the great gift you have given me, by being you, and being willing to be visable. God Bless you Anita, for all you have done and all you will do. And God Bless D for allowing you (putting up with you ;) ) to do these great works.
