Be My Facebook Friend and Watch Me Humiliate Myself

In a little more than a week I’m going into the hospital for one final surgery. This means that beginning on Tuesday, September 22 I’ll be taking a break from blogging for two weeks during the initial phase of post-surgical recovery. If you’d like to follow updates on my progress and other random nuggets of insanity that filters through my cranium this would be the perfect time for you to become one of my Facebook friends. The added incentive for you is that many of my updates will be posted through a medicated state of consciousness which will only add to your personal enjoyment and my future embarrassment.
How can you resist being a part of that?

Afraid….and yet highly amused at the same time. A little like slowing down to gawk at a major accident on the highway and seeing the vehicles involved were all full of circus clowns. Tragic and yet…

anita – just think – during your recovery time and your break from this blog, you’ll have plenty of time to watch and enjoy football on TV! Ha.

It is going to be sore.
You are going to feel oh what have I done… never ever again…
You will fall asleep after your first wake up.
You will receive painstillers….
Every day will be better and better and better….
AT LAST it will only be a little uncomfortable…. ALL will be over again in no time
Keep the faith.. think of good and nice things. How it will be in month’s time from now.
You will be okay !!!!! You are going to look as young as on 21st birth day…
D.. will be so proud of you ….

JRC—>How did you guess that my entire reason for having surgery was for the chance to watch hours of football?! You read me like a book on that one! And thanks…for real…for your prayers

Mara —> Thanks for all your advice and support Mara. You pretty much described my first surgery and I expect the second one will be quite similar. The surgeries really aren’t that bad and the pay off is worth it…however, as good as the surgeon is, I don’t think even he could shave 30 years off my age. Fortunately that’s not what I want anyway so I won’t be disappointed
