This was so well articulated and obviously heartfelt. If only the haters could see it is about love!

Remarkable! I hope these words by Olbermann will touch hearts and change minds! Compelling! I may share the video on my blog also. The more who can see it the better! Part of me wishes this kind of passion was being expressed so openly before the election... and who knows, maybe it WAS... and still was not enough this time.

Susan--> Hey girl, D and I will be standing with you on the West Coast. We'll be at the Join the Impact in San Francisco and so far the attendance count on Facebook is 3500!

Lindsey-->The topic has captured much of the country. As you can see, I've had no better luck moving from it myself.

Joyce--> It's great to see Keith's video showing up everywhere!

Marta--> Word, no doubt!

He's my boyfriend, I tell you! Mine! :-)
Thanks for putting this up here. It was such a wonderful statement, and good to hear from a national TV commentator. I am happy about Barack Obama's win, but not everyone was a winner last Tuesday...and it's a moral imperative that we try to right this wrong.
And if folks aren't aware, there is something of a grassroots movement afoot to do public demonstrations THIS Saturday across the country at the same time to say, "Enough!" Look for jointheimpact.com and see if there is a rally near you. My partner and I and two of our "Faust" friends are organizing things here in FL's capital city. Make some noise, make some contacts, and let's work toward turning this past "Good Friday" into an "Easter".

I had finally decided I wasn't going to post more about gay marriage because I couldn't stand the heavy emotions, and then this clip got my fires up again.

Thank you, Anita!

Word.

I saw this just a few minutes ago on another blog (a political one), and it so surprised me to see something so often devoted to news that actually got the Big Picture. It is good to be reminded of the way to be horrified and upset by this political event, and still to be a good God-child. (I hesitate to use the word Christian in this context, because I simply mean someone devoted to following God rather than the institutions.) I mean, I've heard all the arguments about how the word "marriage" calls to mind a sacrament and that gay marriage in some sense redefines that; but what Mr. Olberman said makes <i>so</i> much more sense.

Just, word. :-)

Stephanie --> There's a small button on the video on my page that says "embed." If you click on that you can copy the html coding that can be inserted onto your own blog page. It's also available on YouTube as well so you can use their "share on your blog" feature.

Laura --> The voices of those who are in opposition to gay marriage are so loud and mean-spirited at times that they cause us to look over all those straight allies, friends, parents, clergy, political figures, and just ordinary justice-loving folks who stand with us. Keith is one voice among many.

Patricia-->Vous êtes très bienvenu! (If that's not right, blame BabelFish!) I'm SO glad you've been following this blog and even more happy to know that "grace" has been held close in your thoughts. Again, how wonderful to have a SisterFriend in Paris.

Joni--> It really was wonderful, wasn't it? I've listened several times myself over the past 24 hours and appreciate it no less. Joni, I don't think anyone should be anything less than passionate about injustice who knows, loves, and follows the life and teaching of Jesus. It makes perfect sense to me that you have <em>your shorts in a bunch</em> over what's happening in the U.S. from where you stand on Canadian soil! :)

Wow!!! Wish I would have listened to this before I blogged this morning. Wow, well said. I wish this could interrupt every tv program in the US and be heard in every home. Thank you A, for sharing that.

I have had several people question why I am so passionate about this because I live in a country that it is accepted and allowed. I guess because it's not about me, it's about wanting the same right for my friends, be it those I know or don't know. It's unjust.
