Here it is, another mystery photo contest, and an easy one if I do say so myself. Be one of the first two to correctly identify the photo and receive a $10 gift card from Starbucks. Since this is something we’re going to do on a regular basis, now seems as good a time as any to look inside the game box to read over the rules on the inside of the lid.
Mystery Photo Rules
- All submissions are to be sent to the comments section on the blog.
- No email submissions please.
- You may enter three submissions. Strike three and you’re out!
- Should you win I’ll contact you via email for your mailing address. If for reasons of confidentiality you aren’t willing to provide your address then please don’t play the game.
- The first winning entry won’t be posted until the second winning entry has been received.

There are some valiant attempts here women, but no one’s nailed it yet! The poison frog and snowman candle certainly win as most out-there, if in fact, I was awarding prizes to the most bizarre guesses!

Eliz–> Fun guess but nope.
So….I’m not about to give a clue yet but let me offer a few….tips.
1. It’s a super close-up of something. Most of you are already on to that.
2. I used one special effect in Photoshop, called Plastic Wrap, which gives it a more dimensional and glossy look.
3. It’s a nearly everyday part of my life. With that said, I don’t frequently wade in children’s pools, hang out with blue poison frogs, or spend everyday working out with one of those torture-some gym balls…much to my personal trainer’s sorrow.

Terri, your guess is just plain scary. MRB, my screensaver is of a Nike tennis shoe. Laura, I don’t even want to think about why anyone’s foot would be in the bottom of the cat box. Dawn, I’m thinking you’re wrong, and Anonymous, you’re freezing cold. Burrrr….

I awoke the other morning to sounds of diabolical laughter and fear coursed through my veins. It could only mean one thing….. another mystery photo. I jumped out of bed and ran to the computer screen with terror striking my heart and yes, there is was.
I knew I would be spending days changing colors resizing and all those fun tricks to see if I could figure it out. The image will forever be burned on my brain. I should be at work right now but just couldn’t leave the screen…;) Just kidding. So my first guess is the back of a fridge magnet?

I’m downright gleeful. Okay, so I thought it would be an easy one but considering the guesses are ranging from the rubber feet on the outside of a cat litter box (thanks for clarifying Laura) to a toothbrush (huh??!) it appears I was mistaken. While the thought of letting you all squirm for a little longer thrills me with more joy than I should scarcely admit, I’m going to help end this agony by throwing out a clue to add to the others I’ve provided along the way…

(I actually have two people who’ve guessed correctly but the first right answer came from Klarissa who knows me so well it removed all the guess work for her! Besides, I bought her a cup of java this morning so she already got her reward!)

I don’t want to win, I just want to play. I’m not afraid of giving you my address, I just hate coffee and I don’t think that we have starbucks nearby. Now having said all that, my guess is that it is a part of a croc shoe. I threw mine away a few days ago and can’t check but mine were pink! In the unlikely event that I win, I want to donate my prize to the catbox foot guesser. . .

But it made me laugh! I need to laugh Mz. Anita and I actually laughed more at you than at Laura. As often as you post about cleaning or not cleaning the cat box, I can totally see where she got the idea from.
You know Mz. Anita, I don’t think that you need to actually give a real life prize. These contests are just fun and that is it’s own reward.

DL–> I’m soooooo glad you enjoy my cat box agony, and you’ll appreciate it all the more when I reveal here for the first time that one of the gifts I gave D for her recent birthday was the promise that I’d clean the litter box every day between now and the end of the year! Of course, I’ll need to have a reminder tattooed on my forehead so I don’t forget but my intentions are certainly good! The contests are fun though I suspect for me more than for anyone and the prizes are just as fun for me to send as for someone to receive them

Well done on another very successful stump your sisterfriends routine. But some of us are working on a plan of revenge, she says rubbing her hands together. Opps sorry girls I think I tipped her off.
As for your promise to clean the cat litter box EVERY day till the end of the year, this is my tip…tape a note to yourself on the bathroom mirror. You will see it when you brush your teeth. That is unless you are like Joni and only brush NEARLY everyday, LOL. (this works for all kinds of things our ageing brains can’t remember or we don’t really want to be reminded of too.)

Oh great and mighty water goddess we got a boil notification and it comes just as a big storm is blowing in. It’s a good thing that I bought 4 12pks of Coke and 2 of Sprite and 3 24 pks of H2O a couple of days ago.
Mz. Anita maybe you could write yourself a reminder on your crocs OR I am sure that your sisters will be glad to post a reminder daily on your blog here. Right Eliz, Steph, Joni, Kelly, etc . . . . ? It ought to be some very interesting reading to the uninformed that lesbians are people who forget as selectively as st8 folk do.

By the way, the photo contest is a lot of fun but it can be frustrating to look at that darn picture and have no clue what it is. Oh and your last hint didn’t help me. I’ve never worn a pair of crocs in my life. LOL Thanks for the fun.

Eliz–> Yeh, if I only brushed my teeth every day then I could use that tip and tape the reminder to the bathroom mirror but since I only brush NEARLY every day according to Joni I guess I’ll tape it to the refrigerator since I never fail every day to eat!
DL–>To tape a reminder on my shoes would mean I could actually see clearly from that distance and even with glasses that’s pushing it!
Kelly–>I’m out of town until tomorrow so I had a temporary 4 day reprieve. I wonder if D would require I extend my end of the year commitment until January 4, 2009 so she gets every day out of me. That sounds like a no-brainer knowing D.
Terri–>Oh nothing like emergency room humor to spice things up and gross people out!

LOL ya’ll are cracking me up and that looks funny sitting at my desk with my co-workers wondering why I have this huge chestire cat grin on my face and am chuckling all the while looking like I am working. LOL
Ok the toothbrush thing was a very bad guess, I just couldn’t imagine what it was minus the CANDLE.. WRAP effect. LOL too funny.
I love my crocs, but my word AC, do you really have like 30 pair? you must have every colour do you? Your last hint definately gave it away but alas I had exhausted my guesses by then.

oh man…i can’t believe i missed the contest. my mom would take us to the library when we were kids and i would go straight to ‘ranger rick’ magazines. remember those? on the back of every cover was a half-dozen or so close-up images…this game brings back so many memories. oh well, klarissa says, it’s a REALLY good thing i didn’t play and win or we’d both be in big trouble…
