13,500 on the first try. I used to *love* this game! Thanks, Anita!

Oh Anita, Kelli, aka “game junkie” is gonna love this!

Allyson and Stephanie –> I remember when Asteroids, Space Invaders and Pong were it! After an hour of trying to better Allyson’s score I now know why I was grateful when Ms. Pacman came along. Don’t you just hate it when your space craft pops up just in time to get whacked by an asteroid? NO FAIR!

  4. Bon said:

Ah, back in the day I used to be able to flip the numbers back to all zeroes with asteroids, but only if I had “shields” instead of “warp”.

Now, well, I don’t have the nerves for any arcade type games. Give me strategy games any time!

Okay, I must admit that the first time I tried the game I got 410. And yes, I am hanging my head in shame. And I am worrying that the comments will heap more shame upon me. But in my defense, I didn’t have my little joystick with the big red button.

But I will prevail or at least get past the first level.

Goodness Gravy I am terrible at this game, very bad first attempt, haha

Come on Women! We’ve got to take Allyson down from her lofting throne! Call in sick to work, unplug your phone and get shooting!

I am willing to admit defeat at this time. But Allyson, watch out I’m still trying. Go sisterfriend and set the bar higher. I love a challange.

  10. Stephanie said:

Oh my Anita. Are we a bit competitive? ;) You go!

I say let her have it though. Let her have this one thing!!!

Ok, I confess-that’s my own way of saying “I suck at this, I know I suck at this, so she can have it.”

    YOU GO ALLYSON!

  11. anita said:

    I want my mommy! I can’t get past 5000!

Stephanie–> Are you suggesting we just concede to Allyson?! Not a chance! Last one to 15,000 is a rotten egg!

  12. anita said:

Whooppee! Stephanie, thank you! Your suggestion to give up motivated me! I entered the last comment, tried for just one more game and hit 13,740!

  13. Stephanie said:

Anita-Good for you. Glad I could help.

Where is Allyson in here scoring now?

  14. Bon said:

Okay, so I hang my head in shame. I decided to see how well I could do without shields, and I got to 13,320, on my second game. Where in the heck is the warp key? “W” gives you thrust.

I s’pose it’s best the Bon doesn’t know, because this will be one more thing on my “how to procrastinate when really I should be working the the dissertation” list.

I’m a gamer girl who was raised on Nintendo, so I might have a bit of an unfair advantage. My score was 39,600.

  16. Eliz Anderson said:

Wow Tiffany way to go girl. Congrats. So who will be first to 50,000?

  17. anita said:

Tiffany –> 39,600?! UNCLE! I bow humbly in your presence, Oh Great Gaming Girl.
