The Sisters Rocked the House

Date April 4, 2009

A big thank you shout-out to our SisterFriends who shared their personal stories with us over the past week. It’s clear from the comments we received and the steady daily readership shown in the blog stats that their stories connected with and inspired many of you. The Jewish Storyteller, Peninnah Schram has said,

Since storytelling is a dialogue,
shared stories create more understanding;
bring people closer together as a community;
and serve as a string that binds one heart to another.

I believe each story shared this week has done just that by creating more understanding among us and drawing us closer together as a community and to one another.

Holy Week begins tomorrow with Palm Sunday. During the coming days I’ll be sharing personal reflections on the events that lead us past a splintered cross and beyond an empty tomb into new and resurrected life made possible by the grace of God. Now that’s one amazing story!
