Weekend Links

Happy Birthday Joni
It’s after midnight and before signing off from a day spent web designing my churches site in the warm glow of a 14-inch Macbook, I thought I’d head over this way to post a few weekend links but before I do, let’s all join together in sending big ol’ birthday wishes to Joni from Got Authenticity?

35 years old. I don’t know if I want to hug you or smack you, you young thang! But seriously, may your day be blessed with friends, a surplus of joy, and a surprise or two along the way!

Alrighty then….

  • It always makes me a little nuts when I find a free version of something I just kerplunked real money on to buy. Either way, I love journaling on my computer this way. I can’t explain why unless I’m just unconsciously missing the black and green days of MS-DOS.
  • I send email to myself as reminders of upcoming events or tasks I’m afraid I might forget. Interesting. I just noticed that both these links allude to my middle-age reality which just might shed some light on the whole hugging/smacking tension. I swear, if I’m the oldest lesbian in the house I don’t want to know. Lie to me. Consider it an act of kindness to an elder.
  • A good resource for bi-education and I think this might make for an interesting conversation for us at some point in the future.
  • Another Christian brother has come out and is no doubt going to be in for quite a ride.
  • Normally this guy has me snorkeling Diet Coke out my left nostril (and the right one simultaneously when he’s at his best) but this entry is more of a God’s grace moment with a last line that kicks.
  • Before you donate to any non-profit, be informed before you give.
  • Get it ?

Amy –> What a generous comment and it’s really near to hear that something as small as the links I post are appreciated. Now….how you find time as a stay at home mom to browse around the internet is beyond me unless you’re doing it during nap time. Which would lend the question, why the heck aren’t you taking a nap at the same time? And tomorrow we’ll be serving graham crackers with cold milk for treats!

Joni–> Whoooaa! I just read your post and was hanging on every word! Joni, it sounds like such an amazing experience for you, a major God moment. I’m so happy for you and hope you continue to savor it all. Good for you for writing it all down, not only to share with others but to keep for yourself to reflect on in the future. Awesome!
