I had a good friend who's folks were missionaries among the Choco Indians in Panama so the list cracked me up remembering his stories, especially the National Geographic special...very funny. The *first* "You know you're an mk when" list was made by the first (and back then the only) email list for adult children of missionaries, started by a Calvin College student in 1993-4. We (I was part of the list back then and still am) started it as a joke, then a couple of kids on the list -- Andy and Deborah Kerr -- compiled our list into a book. They had no money at all, and from the proceeds of the book, they were able to partly pay for their honeymoon.
