Weekend Links

Date August 30, 2008

Okay SisterFriends and BrotherBuddies…here’s a few links for you, some poignant, some funny.

  • I want this puppy boy!
  • Sometimes you just need to hear it one more time.
  • And sometimes you need to hear this.
  • Play with this for a while and see how the story turns out.
  • Finally! I thank you. Our linen closet thanks you.
  • I have a special appreciation because I’ve been here a half dozen times.
  • Stunning. Travel America with your hineybutt planted in your favorite chair.
  • Oh please, somebody make this and then describe every luscious bite!
  • Has God ever given you an incredible encounter like this?
  • I’ve been brokenhearted since viewing this last night. How have we fallen so far and how can we find our way again? [Warning: Film footage is from a Dateline NBC report on the conditions of disabled children in Serbia and is quite disturbing to view]
  • A lesbian with a great singing voice who writes smokin’ lyrics and sweet melodies.
  • D and I just received our first hard copy issue and it’s first-rate.
  • This is one of my new favorite movies.
  • I graduated from high school in 1975 but that doesn’t mean I can’t have yearbook photos from 1960 – 1990 and all the years in-between. You’re going to have fun with this one!

Anita. Really. How do you find all this stuff?!?

And also – I saved my “yearbook pictures” too, but mine were in a weird format, so when I tried to upload them onto Facebook, I couldn’t see them – did you have trouble with that, or is it just me?

Amy–> Rockstar indeed! It’s tempting to not grab everyone’s facebook images and have a whole lot of evil fun at their expense.

Esther–> I’m a “stumbleupon” obsessive and when stumbleupon sends me to a cool site then I dig around for a while on my own at that site and find myself roaming around in all sorts of odd little corners of the internet. I didn’t have any problem with the images at all. Just be sure that each of them has an extension at the end (*.jpg). Occasionally when I download images the extensions don’t get added and then the image can’t be opened on my computer or when I attempt to load to the site.
