When The Website is Unavailable…

Date October 15, 2008

. . . it means the server that hosts this site (and the forum) is temporarily down. Rush hour traffic. Lines at the DMV. Spilled milk. Down server time. It just happens sometimes and there’s nothing you can do about it but curse, scream, break something, and then go on with your day. I share that bit of advice from Anita’s Coping Skills 101, page 32.

Another suggestion would be that if you come to the site in the future and get a message that the site is unavailable or the status indicator continues to spin endlessly and the site doesn’t appear, go to DreamHost Status to confirm a system outage or any maintenance downtime. Most interruptions to the site only last from a few minutes to a couple hours.

Just wanted you to know to avoid the masses (all seven of you) from going wild in the streets!
