I'm so relieved to think that every difference of opinion, every different reading of scripture, every point of every different creed does not have to be made identical in order that the church become one. That unity can include all because it is based in the unity of God. I've never heard this. And I rejoice. May we come to places where the differences between us add richness, and the differences of understanding lead to a fuller knowing of just how great, and how complex is the mystery of our God and of the unity of His Body.
