1 dead, 3 children and 1 adult injured after accident in Delaware County
COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – A woman has died and several others have been injured after an accident in Delaware County.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, at around 4:59 p.m. Friday, Kenze J. Cox, 39, of Sunbury, was driving a 2015 Mercedes-Benz C250 eastbound on SR 521 when she was struck by a failed 2008 Chrysler PT Cruiser. yield at a stop sign on County Road 34.
Cox was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 24-year-old PT Cruiser driver, identified by police as Amanda C. Knave, 24, of Columbus, was transported to Grant Medical Center where she was treated for her injuries.
Two young female passengers in Cox’s vehicle, as well as a young female passenger in the PT Cruiser were taken to Nationwide Children’s Hospital with non-disabling injuries.
Soldiers continue to investigate, but say alcohol or drug use is unknown at this time. Police said
