Chamber Seeking Nominations for Business, Community Service and Future Five Award | Community
The nomination period for the annual Ludington and Scottville Area Chamber of Commerce awards is now underway.
Each year, the House honors the individuals and organizations who are making a difference in Mason County, both in business and in the greater community. Nominations are sought for these annual awards, which will be handed out at the Chamber’s annual awards dinner on September 30 at the Lincoln Hills Golf Club.
The award categories are Mason County Business of the Year, Small Business of the Year, Community Service, and Future Five.
Nominations will be accepted until 5 p.m. on Thursday, July 15.
“We are thrilled to come together again to recognize the businesses and individuals in our community who go to great lengths for their employers and Mason County as a whole,” said Brandy Miller, President and CEO of the bedroom. “It’s our way of celebrating successful businesses and individuals and making the community a better place.”
The Future Five: The Future Five Award recognizes five young professionals from the region who are growing and excelling in their respective fields. These individuals currently influence the growth, prosperity and quality of life in Mason County and demonstrate their ability to positively impact the region in the future through their professional achievements and community involvement.
The Future Five Award is open to anyone living or working in Mason County. Applicants must be between the ages of 21 and 40 on or before December 31, 2020. Applicants must agree to be featured in the news reviewing the award and will be asked to complete a biographical survey upon nomination.
Business of the Year Award (over 20 employees): The purpose of this award is to recognize a business that has made an impact in the community through its business expertise and community service. The business must be located in Mason County and be a member of the Ludington & Scottville Area Chamber of Commerce. All members are listed on www.ludington.org.
The Company of the Year award will be judged on the ability to demonstrate excellence in business practices through sales, quality of service, customer service, leadership and / or community involvement. Nominations must include a written summary of why this company deserves the award.
Small Business of the Year Award (20 employees or less): This award will recognize a small business that provides a quality product or service and conducts business with professionalism and integrity. The business must be located in Mason County and be a member of a chamber of commerce.
The Small Business of the Year award will be awarded based on the ability to demonstrate excellence in business practices through sales, quality of service, customer service, leadership and / or community engagement. Nominations must include a written summary of why this company deserves the award.
Community Service Award: The purpose of this award is to recognize an individual or group for their accomplishments in providing service to the community on a volunteer basis.
Nominations must include a written summary of the individual or group’s volunteer efforts and the reasons why they should be considered for the award.
