The Wood County Department of Health continues to inspect restaurants throughout the county.

The following inspections were carried out on June 9.

Wendy’s, 27240 Crossroads Pkwy., Rossford, committed two non-critical violations, lacking towels or a drying device at the sink (s) for washing hands (repeat, corrected on inspection) ; and records indicate that critical limits were not properly monitored and / or corrective actions were not documented (corrected during inspection).

Five Guys Burgers & Fries, 10090 Olde US 20 Suite D, Rossford, had a critical violation, which was misuse of time as a public health check (four hours) (repeat, corrected during inspection).

Chili’s Grill & Bar, 9886 Olde US 20, Rossford, had two critical infractions, which were quaternary ammonium disinfectant solution at incorrect water temperature, concentration and / or hardness (corrected during inspection) ; and temperature-controlled foods not being kept cold at the correct temperature (corrected during inspection).

Staybridge Suites, 9749 Clark Drive, Rossford, committed a non-critical offense where employee personal items were observed stored among clean dishes on the prep table shelf (rehearsal).

During a follow-up inspection, Odd Fodder, 26520 N. Dixie Hwy., Perrysburg, had two non-critical violations, namely that the surfaces of the non-food contact equipment were dirty; and dirty kitchen equipment or pan surfaces

The following inspections were carried out on June 10.

During a follow-up inspection, the Chick-fil-A restaurant, 10315 Fremont Pike, Perrysburg, had two non-critical violations, namely that the surfaces of the non-food contact equipment were dirty; and dirty cooking equipment or pan surfaces.

Starbucks Coffee Co., 3145 Levis Commons Blvd., Perrysburg, committed a non-critical offense of opening up to the exterior without protection.

The Burger King restaurant, 1181 S. Main St., Bowling Green, committed one critical offense and three non-critical offenses.

The inappropriate use of time as a public health check (four hours) was critical. It was corrected during the inspection.

Utensils in use were poorly stored; equipment surfaces that are not in contact with food are dirty; and the facility is not kept clean.

Taco Bell, 1130 S. Main St., Bowling Green, has committed a non-critical offense of improperly storing utensils in use.

Clean Juice, 3155 Levis Commons Blvd., Perrysburg, committed a non-critical offense of catering employees wearing jewelry on their arms or hands while preparing food.

The following inspections were carried out on June 11.

During a follow-up inspection, Pizza Pub 516 in Perrysburg, 27072 Caronade Unit K, had two non-critical violations, namely, equipment surfaces not in contact with food were dirty; and floor and wall junctions are not properly dug or closed and / or floor drains are not provided.

During a follow-up inspection, Hershey’s Ice Cream DBA Nedley’s Ice Cream & Coffee Cafe ‘, 200 E. South Boundary St., Perrysburg, recorded one critical violation and six non-critical violations.

It was essential that employees were not verifiably informed of their responsibility to report information about their health.

Non-critical, the hot and cold equipment thermometer was missing, improperly placed, or not easily read; poor food storage; food worker (s) not wearing a hair retainer; improper storage of cleaned equipment, washed utensils and linens; surfaces not in contact with food that are difficult to clean; and equipment surfaces that are not in contact with food are dirty.

Hampton Inn / MCRT2 Toledo Tenant LLC, 9753 Clark Drive, Rossford, committed two critical and two non-critical offenses.

Both reviews were corrected during inspection and included temperature controlled foods that were not kept cold at the correct temperature; and work containers containing toxic or improperly labeled materials.

No disinfectant test kit was available; and the physical facilities are not maintained in good condition (replication).

During a follow-up inspection, China East Buffet Inc. DBA China City, 27072 Carronade Drive Suite M, Perrysburg, had four non-critical violations, which were the unprotected exterior opening; surfaces not in contact with food that are difficult to clean; dirty cooking equipment or pan surfaces; and the facility is not kept clean.

In a follow-up inspection, So Many Somethings Desserterie, 1021 Sandusky St., Perrysburg, had a non-critical violation of inadequate equipment for cooling, reheating or preserving food.

No violations were found at the Kingston Care Center of Perrysburg LLC, 345 E. Boundary St .; Wood County Committee on Aging-Grand Rapids, 23019 Kellogg Road; Wood County Committee on Aging-Pemberville, 200 Cedar Street; Frank’s Fries # 5, 601 E. Crocker St., Bradner; YMCA of Greater Toledo / Owens Community College Childcare Center, 30335 Oregon Road, Perrysburg; EBPS, 211 E. Boundary St., Perrysburg; Dollar General, 28637 Oregon Road, Perrysburg; Papa Moose Donuts, 165 Superior Street, Rossford; and The Nest Bowling Green, 408 S. Mitchell Road.
