Scanning documents is one of the ways that the town of wilton has employed over the past five years to modernize municipal administration through increased digitization and online access.

Converting paper to digital documents has the added benefit of reducing space requirements in city buildings, according to an email alert from the city.

The Wilton Land Use Department began work in late 2021 to digitize and provide online access to historic Department of Buildings and Health permits that were stored on microfiche machine equipment at the Town of Wilton Annex.

In 2021, Wilton’s clerk, Lori Kabak, completed the digitization of all of its land records, which are now available online for review and download via document management solutions software company COTT Systems.

For more information, visit the Land Records portion of the Town of Wilton website. The city has embarked on digital transformation, and the intelligent data management company, Scan Optics LLC, of Manchester, Connecticut., provide digitization services.

Wilton Town Hall is located at 238 Danbury Road in the town.
