Springfield-Greene Co. Health Department releases interactive COVID-19 testing map

GREENE COUNTY, Mo. (KY3) – Health officials say we are in the midst of the region’s third surge of COVID-19 as the Omicron variant rapidly increases around the Ozarks.

Home tests and testing locations can be difficult to find. For this reason, the Springfield-Greene County Health Department recently released a map with COVID-19 testing sites near you to help you. CLICK HERE for the interactive map.

The map outlines testing sites throughout Greene County. By browsing the website, you can find details of the types of test whereabouts offers, as well as addresses, phone numbers and turnaround times for receiving your result.

“Finding a test wasn’t the easiest thing to do,” said local resident Anita Donal. “We were hoping for a home test but it’s impossible to get. I wish we knew the card in advance.

The tool also tells you if appointments are required or if walk-in visits are allowed.

The map breaks down the different types of COVID-19 tests to help you better understand what is available.

Currently, the Springfield-Greene County Health Department is reporting a seven-day rolling average of 463 new cases of COVID-19 per day in Greene County.

“It’s super important if you have symptoms. Definitely get tested. You need to quarantine yourself and make sure you don’t expose it to the hardest hit population,” Donal said.

Another great tool on the Department of Health website is an entire section devoted to different types of tests. To visit this page, CLICK HERE.
