MARQUETTE – The Marquette County Department of Health will host a driving flu shot and Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 recall clinic from noon to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Marq-Tran Bus Garage, located at 1325 Commerce Drive in the township of Marquette.
Flu shots will be offered to people 6 months of age and older, including the high dose vaccine for people 65 years of age and older. The MCHD will bill Medicare, Medicaid, and most private insurance. Participants are requested to bring their insurance card. For people without insurance, MCHD accepts cash and checks.
The cost for uninsured children and adults is $ 10.
The cost of the high dose vaccine for uninsured adults aged 65 and over is $ 30.
In addition to influenza vaccines, MCHD will offer the Pfizer-BioNTech booster to individuals at least 6 months after receiving a primary series of this vaccine. This does not include people who have received the Moderna vaccine. People are encouraged to bring their COVID-19 vaccination record with them.
The boosters are recommended for people aged 65 and over, those aged 18 to 34 with underlying health conditions, and those aged 18 to 64 who are at increased risk of COVID-19 depending on professional or institutional framework.
