Ulster County will participate in the New York State Department of Health‘s âVax to Schoolâ initiative by performing POD vaccinations in every high school gymnasium on certain weekends in October and November. In an effort to increase immunization rates among the 12 to 17 year old age group, Ulster County and New York State are making vaccines readily available in a comfortable and convenient setting.
âWith schools now fully open, it is essential that we continue to provide access to vaccines to our students in a safe and effective manner,â said Ryan. âI want to thank SUNY Ulster for helping to encourage this program and to all of our school districts for partnering with our health department for this critical effort.
